OWENS CORNING FOAMULAR 150 RIGID BOARD INSULATION

FOAMULAR rigid foam insulation contains literally hundreds of millions of densely packed air cells. Since air is nature's most effective insulator, the sheer volume of this compressed trapped air gives FOAMULAR insulation exceptional thermal performance.  FOAMULAR is also "hydrophobic," meaning it's practically impossible for it to be penetrated by moisture. Moisture penetration can cause a permanent loss of R-value, and after repeated penetration the insulation can be practically useless.

If you're installing FOAMULAR insulation yourself, you should know that it weighs considerably less than plywood, OSB or other non-insulation material so it's easier, faster and safer to install. Plus, the product's built-in rigidity means it can be scored and snapped, cut, or sawed with common tools. Sagging and settling are never a problem. We also offer PROPINK insulating sheathing which is manufactured with extra toughness for new construction applications.

Owens Corning JointSealR Foam Joint Tape is an effective product to tape the joints of FOAMULAR extruded polystyrene (XPS) board in vertical wall applications when it is used as continuous insulation over steel or wood wall framing, or as masonry cavity wall insulation. BILD-R-TAPE Construction Tape is an acrylic based, pressure sensitive adhesive tape combined with polypropylene film. It seals against air and moisture infiltration.

OWENS CORNING FANFOLD FOAM RESIDING BOARD

For residing the exterior of your home, you can add up to R-1.5 by using Owens Corning FanFold Residing Board. In addition to adding insulating power, FanFold provides a smooth nailing surface to simplify installation of the new siding. Its long, folded panels eliminate many seams for better resistance to air infiltration, a common drawback with other residing boards.

Fold-Form consists of pre-assembled interlocking sections of high-density expanded polystyrene foam which, once in place, are filled with concrete. Each section is 4 sq. ft. in size (4' wide, 1' high) allowing the user to build insulated foundations and concrete walls from 4" to 16" thick and accommodate worldwide codes for steel reinforcing. Unique hardware package allows installers to assemble curved walls and other custom shapes.

OWENS CORNING INSULPINK FOAM INSULATION BOARD

If you are insulating your basement walls but can't afford to give up the space to construct 2x4 framing, Owens Corning offers INSULPINK® foam insulation board. It attaches to a basement wall by means of wood furring strips—no framing is necessary—and provides an uninterrupted insulating envelope along the entire wall, providing a 7.5 R-value.

Owens Corning PROPINK insulating sheathing is a premium insulating panel used to construct the exterior walls of your home. It features a tough laminated skin on both sides of its rigid foam core. The reinforced laminated skin makes it extremely resistant to damage and a perfect choice for new construction.

Exterior walls made of PROPINK deliver considerably greater R-value than plywood, oriented strand board (OSB) or other non-insulation products. In fact, once fiber glass insulation is placed in the exterior wall stud cavities, the completed 2x4 wall can achieve a total value of up to R-20. PROPINK is designed to be used with either wood or metal studs and suits a variety of exterior finishes including vinyl, metal and aluminum sidings; masonry veneer; and reinforced stucco.

OWENS CORNING RAFT-R-MATE ATTIC RAFTER VENTS

A well-ventilated attic has undereave or soffit vents, which allow fresh air into the attic. The fresh air flows up between rafters to the ridge, where a ridge vent, roof vents or gable vents allow the air to exit. But if insulation is allowed to bunch against the inside slope of the roof between the rafters, air will be blocked before it can traverse the attic. RAFT-R-MATE attic rafter vents create a space between each rafter for air to flow freely up the rafters and into the attic.
