Owens Corning Attic Stairway Insulator is comprised of durable Pink Fiberglass Insulation and tough, highly reflective foil. The product comes fully assembled and is easy to install. The Attic Stairway insulator can help reduce air leaks and add insulation to the home as recommended by the Seal and Insulate with ENERGY STAR® effort.

The Attic Stairway Insulator closes the insulation gap created by attic stair access points in residential housing, leading to reduced energy costs year round.

The product is designed to cover access points up to 25½” x 54”.

The Attic Stairway Insulator design makes it easy to install; simply unfold and place over the attic opening.

Performance Properties:

The Attic Stairway Insulator is R-10 rated per ASTM C 177 and helps reduce energy loss year round. The thermal imaging in Figures 1 and 2 shows the product’s effectiveness.

Prior to using the Attic Stairway Insulator, the surface temperature of the attic stair panel was colder than the rest of the home interior as seen by its blue color in the before photo. With the Attic Stairway Insulator, the panel surface temperature was similar to the rest of the home. 

Owens Corning’s Garage Door Insulation Kit is a complete kit comprised of (8) durable R-8 fiberglass insulation panels with a tough, washable white vinyl facing. The kit comes with a unique fastening system that provides a quick and secure method to hold the panels in place. Each kit provides enough material to insulate a single car, garage door up to 9 feet wide x 7 feet 8 inches tall.
