Joist Tape

Three Joist Tape

Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape comes in three standard width sizes based on the most common joist sizes in new construction projects:

1-7/16" Wide: For use on 2 x 4 wood studs, metal studs, and nominal wood joists (2 x 8, 2 x10)
2-1/4" Wide: For use on smaller composite joists and true dimensional wood joists
3" Wide: For use on composite joists, steel beams, and double 2 x 4 studs.
All Rolls are 100 feet long

Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape is applied to the wood or steel studs prior to drywall installation to increase sound damping in wall structures. Joist Tape also works well when being applied to the face of resilient channel in conjunction with Green Glue Whisper Clips.
